Cyril Daddieh will be the new Director of Black World Studies

Cyril Daddieh will be the new Director of Black World Studies at Miami University.  Daddieh has a Ph.D from Dalhousie University, Canada, and is currently a Professor of Political Science and Director of the Black Studies Program at Providence College. He has written extensively on the political economies of Cote d'Ivoire and his native Ghana.  Recently he has been focussing on higher education reform in the new South Africa, democratization and state-building in Africa, local government reform, and the relevance of traditional conflict resolution mechanisms to contemproary conflict management.
