Orientation for Transfer Students
While being a college student is not new to you, you will find that being a student at Miami's Oxford campus is different from your past experience in subtle and perhaps substantial ways. To welcome you and to introduce you to other students and to this campus' services, resources, and social and co-curricular opportunities, we offer a transfer orientation program.
This program is held the Friday before classes begin each semester. If you plan to attend this orientation program and will be living on campus, you may move into your room on Thursday. However, you must register in advance to attend the orientation.
Details about this program and other informational and social activities for new Oxford campus students will be sent to you. We urge you to participate so that you may quickly learn about this campus, meet students and staff, and feel at home here. Detailed information about registering for classes, which you may do in advance, will also be sent to you.
We expect that you will have questions and may not know which office to contact for answers. Call the Orientation Programs Office (529-4010) or the Office of Admission (529-2531) for answers.
