Bahamas Capstone

This is an awesome two-week, summer workshop on the island of San Salvador, Bahamas!

The objective of this 4-hour course is to introduce the botany/zoology/biology student to the flora of the tropics as it compares with the more familiar, temperate vegetation of the middle United States. Topics covered include families of tropical plants, ecology, economic botany, and marine botany.

To be counted as a capstone, this course must be taken between your junior and senior years, or during your senior year. The capstone is open to all majors.

Prerequisites:
An introductory course in botany, zoology, or general biology. An upper level plant taxonomy course is helpful. Permission of the instructor is required to register.

Price:
Cost for this course is subject to change from year to year, and varies depending upon in-state or out-of-state tuition.
