INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
Application Procedures
For full consideration, applicants must have all forms (including those required by the Graduate School) submitted no later than 1 January of the year of entry. Students are strongly advised to personally contact potential faculty advisors by 1 January.
All applications are considered for fall admission.
A completed application file consists of the following:
Mailed to the Department of Botany
1. completed Preliminary Application
2. a xerox copy of transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate course work;
3. a xerox copy of scores on the Graduate Record Exam;
4. three letters of recommendation; and
5. a statement about the area of botany in which you intend to specialize and your career objectives.

1. completed graduate school application form, found in the back of the Graduate Study at Miami University viewbook, or using the links below:
US Citizen
International
2. $35 application fee;
3. two official copies of transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate work;
4. an official copy of scores on the Graduate Record Exam;
International applicants must apply through the Graduate School and Office of International Education Services and request an international application.

Applications will be accepted at any time; however applications received after 1 January of the year you wish to be considered for admission may not receive full consideration.
Domestic applicants must apply through both the Graduate School and Department of Botany.
International applicants must apply through the Graduate School, Department of Botany, and the Office of International Education Services as outlined above. TOEFL scores must be submitted by all aplicants native to non-English speaking countries.
