Areas of Expertise

Plant functional genomics, RNA biology,
molecular biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology.

Research Interests

Research in Dr. Li's lab focuses on the elucidation of plant mRNA polyadenylation mechanisms at the genetic, biochemical, and molecular levels. Funded by US National Science Foundation's Arabidopsis 2010 Project, and US National Institute of Health, we are using functional genomic tools to study the functions of a set of genes encoding plant polyadenylation factors. We are particularly interested in the regulatory role of mRNA polyadenylation in gene expression during plant development and stress responses.
