Jorge Cañizares-Esguerra received his PhD in the history of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is currently a member of the State University of New York at Buffalo History Department (SUNY-Buffalo). Cañizares-Esguerra has been a NEH and SSRC fellow as well as an Andrew Mellon Research Fellow at the Huntington Library in California. He has also been a member of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton and the Charles Warren Center of Studies of American History at Harvard.
