5. Physicist - “Physicist makes quantum optics crystal clear.” Written by Denise Fulton. Jan Yarrison-Rice, a new member of the physics department talks about lasers and crystals. Four pages. Lynn Zeman and Michelle Trusso became the first women to be ranked as top officers in their branches, at the same time. They discuss their career paths and the challenges they faced. Two pages. 11. German - “Students studying Herman survey West Germans on reunification views.” Written by Kerry Coughlin. Students from five sections of created a five-question survey in German asking about reunification. The survey was then mailed 500 random people selected from German phone books.
