1. “Undergraduate works with zoologist to study brain chemistry.” Written by Marly Ellis. This is a person profile of Niki Campbell and her involvement with the research of brain activities. Three pages with three pullout quotes. A photo of Campbell and professor Phyllis Callahan.

2. “Miami Center provides expert assistance to local governments.” Written by Benjamin Nagy. Issue profile of the Miami University’s Center for Public Management and its assistance to merge Clayton and Randolph townships into a village. Three pages in length. Artwork includes a headshot of the director of Miami’s Center for Public Management, and a landscape of the formal gardens.

3. “Shriver stresses the value of having moral leadership in “Last Lecture’ to seniors.” Written by Lauren Frank. This is a profile of the ‘Last Lecture’ given to 1997 graduating seniors. It is two pages in length. It has a listed column of Dr. Shriver’s values, and it has a box of what is called “Behind the scenes.”

4. “Botanist John Kiss sends plants into space on Atlantis flights.” Written by Mark Pesavento. This is an issue profile on the botanist department’s cooperation with NASA of a study of gravity-free environment on plant growth. Two pages long, with a column of Q and A. It has two photos, one of the lead botanists of project at Miami, and the other of the Atlantis crew.

5. “ Chemist uses genetics to learn how oil is produced by plants. Written by Joseph Gallagher. A thing profile on the Arabidopsis plant that has a significant smaller amount of DNA compared nearly all other plants and how it can be used for non-edible purposes. It is two pages in length, and has one photo of a professor within the chemistry department. This article has a text box about the lead chemist.

6. “Spiders lend a leg to biodiversity.” Written by Brecken Lesniewski. A professor and a post-doctoral research scholar from the zoology department how co-habitat animals respond to living on developed land that once was their home. Spiders are their most frequent test population. It is two pages in length. This article has three pullout quotes and one photo of the lead zoology professor working on this research.

11. “Professor studies guardians of sacred spaces throughout Nepal and India.” Written by Jeanette Le Blanc. A profile of a professor of religion, involved with the Hampton International Faculty Initiative at Miami University, and her experience witnessing some traditional Buddhist customs. 12. “Zoologist leads search in Kenya on how primates acquire mobility.” Written by Christy Kemper. Profile of two Miami University zoology students working with a professor in Kenya to uncover 20-million year old fossils. It is two pages in length.
