| SPOTLIGHT |
Dave's tips for completing your Honors application:
1. There is no single "correct" answer. Help us get to know you through your essays. Sincere, thoughtful responses will help set you apart from others. Be creative, challenge our readers, and be sure you answer the prompt!
2. Take the entire application seriously. We evaluate students holistically, so every part is worth your full attention.
3. Procrastination rarely lends itself to exceptional work. Think ahead of time about what you will include in your application and essays. Do not wait until the last minute. Strong writing takes time, inspiration, review by others, and revision.
4. You cannot save a partial application and return to finish it. I recommend you save your information in a separate document and then copy it into the Honors on-line application form when you are ready to submit.
5. Include your “self” in your essays. Reflective writing shows how you are a part of your responses. Remember, we ask individuals to join our program, not authorless essays. |
