The 2nd Conference of Geographers of the Upper Adriatic - Joint Management of a Borderless Area is planned to be organized by Professor Maria Paola Pagnini at the University of Trieste. The conference should take place at the end of September or beginning of October 2009. Borders and Identities, Newcastle, UK. Multidisciplinary conference exploring connections between social sciences and sociolinguistics/sociology of language. Conference: 8-9 January 2010 (Abstract deadline 1 July 2009) http://www.york.ac.uk/res/aiseb/bic2010/ International Geographical Union Commission on Political Geography, Israel. The International Geographical Union (IGU) will be holding its Regional Conference in Tel Aviv, Israel, on July 12-16 July 2010. The IGU Commission on Political Geography IGU CPG will be organizing three sessions at the major conference (and two jointly organized with the MRP – Mediterranean Renaissance Program), and a pre-conference workshop which will take place at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, immediately prior to the main event, from 7-11 July, 2010.
