In the fall of 2009, Brittany talked about her time at Miami University.
"This is a bittersweet year for me because I am a senior here at Miami. Although it is sad to think that this is my last year and, at times, it's stressful trying to figure out where I'll be next year, I am looking forward to a successful and fun-filled senior year and to my next adventure: law school.
"I love sports (Go Bengals!), running, learning new things, making a big deal out of holidays, birthdays, and any special occasion, going out/ hanging out with friends and family. I have a very outgoing personality, and I love interacting with people, talking in front of people (and to anyone who will listen), and being in positions of leadership.
"As part of DSAC, I'm given many opportunities to collaborate with past, current, and prospective students and Miami administrators on a variety of issues. It's a great leadership position that enables me to embrace my extroverted personality.
"I'm currently a volunteer with Butler County's Parachute Program. I'm a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a precious five year old who is in the foster care system. Not only do I get to spend a lot of time with her and to be an active part of her life, I speak for her best interests in court and work with the case worker, attorney, and judge on her case. As a CASA, I can make a difference in a child's every day, and I can learn more about the court system and my chosen career path."
