In fall 2009, Naima talked about her time at Miami University.

"I love hanging out and going uptown with my sorority sisters and friends. I also love going to the events held by the different organizations at Miami especially during diversity week.

"Coming to Miami University has been one of the best decisions l have ever made, and l realize that more every day. Being an international student, Miami offers a lot of opportunities that l know l wouldn't have had, if I was in college back in my country. From the professors, faculty and staff in the offices to the classes and resources in the labs, everything is provided to make sure you have a successful college experience. The rest is up to you.

"Miami has a lot of different activities and organizations that one could get into. There is not only one but several that anyone can definitely fit in. Being a member of the Greek life at Miami has been one of my favorite experiences. It's great to know and work with all the different people involved and it kind of puts one out there, so it's a great way of getting around the campus.

"I love the fact that am also involved in DSAC. It's a great opportunity to work closely with the Dean of the College of Arts and Science, and convey what's going on around the campus from the student's perspective. I feel like l have a chance for my voice to be heard whenever the need comes.

I am now looking forward to working with my adviser in her research lab. This will be a great experience to have for my career in the future. There are lots of research labs that students get into and get experience in. My adviser is also working with me in finding a place for me for my practicum in my senior year. Miami University has a lot of connections and contracts with several places that offer internships to students which help us in getting out to the real world. It's real preparation for the world outside. Who wouldn't want that!
