Research fossil collection
The research fossil collection (click the preceding link to view samples) is primarily composed of Paleozoic invertebrates, with an emphasis on fauna from the upper Ordovician Period. The collection, which contains approximately 185,000 specimens, is dominated by Ordovician invertebrates collected in southwest Ohio, southeast Indiana, and northern Kentucky.
The collection also contains Ordovician fossils from Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Wyoming, England, and Ontario, Canada.
