Choice of Courses for your Focus and Electives

The new Microbiology curriculum allows you to choose a variety of Focus and Elective courses to satisfy the requirements for the major. Below are a few of the different ways that you can combine courses to get the training in Microbiology that best fits your career plans. Keep in mind that you are not limited to these "tracks" alone. They serve as a starting point for the design of a curriculum that matches your interests.

In designing your curriculum, you must have at least 9 credit hours of Focus Courses, including at least 2 hours of lab. To complete the 32 hours, you can choose from Elective Courses or additional Focus Courses. The Focus and Elective Courses are listed with the new Curriculum Requirements.

A worksheet is available for you (and your advisor) to use in planning your curriculum.
