How to set up and save your website:

On any internet viewing program, netscape or internet explorer for instance, you can sign into www.mymiami.muohio.edu.

On this page, go to the TOP LEFT and log on with your unique ID and a password.

Then you are signed on to your muserver space automatically if you go to the TOP RIGHT and press, NETDISC.

You should now have a list of files and folders in your muserver space.

If you have a PUBLIC.WWW folder, this is where you want to save your website files.

Go to BROWSE and choose the folder you have your website stored in (for example, 101website) and upload the file into the public.www folder.

You are finished!  

NOTE:  
You must name the main page of the website:  index.html
You must store the files in the public.www folder.

If you do NOT have a public.www folder in your muserver space, you will need to go to a different website to get one.  Go to:  www.muohio.edu/www/setup  This will give you a menu to follow through and will setup a public.www folder inside your muserver space.


Your URL for your website will be:

www.users.muohio.edu/uniqueID/101website/index.html

The computer will automatically search in your public.www folder for your html documents.
