Pre-Law Program at Miami University
The Pre-Law Program at Miami University exposes, educates, and advises our students about law school and the practice of law.
Students receive focused guidance and counseling on:
- undergraduate coursework
- extracurricular and community service opportunities
- law school admissions process
- LSAT preparation
... and opportunities to learn from and network with professionals, such as:
- mentoring
- internships
- shadowing
- Law Day Fair (October 31, 2012)

Our Pre-Law Center provides:
- a resource library
- computers for students to research and apply to law schools
- a place to discuss legal issues or hold group-study sessions
The success of our programs can be seen in the accomplishments of our students:
97% of senior Miami applicants were accepted to law school for the 2011-12 school year (compared to a 80% national average)
In recent years, Miami students have been accepted to top law schools including those at Harvard, Columbia, New York University, University of Chicago, Pennsylvania, and California-Berkeley. And, Miami remains an important feeder school for top Ohio law schools.
